Version 2.5.3 Released
InterroBot 2.5.3 is now available, and it is the outcome of working with the Link Check report over a range of websites. The update reduces noisy results that, while in the 4XX client error range, do not suggest a high probability of error.
These suppressed codes are:
- 401/403 Authorization Required
- 402 Payment Required
- 429 Too Many Requests
Additionally, a new option was added to Link Checker, "Filter." The option allows the condensing of multiple errors against one HTTP error into one result. This is useful when one or more broken links cause site-wide mayhem, diluting the signal within the results. This generally occurs in templates where one errant @href can be propagated tens, hundreds, or even thousands of times under one site.
