Product pricing is hard. Since the cross-platform work on InterroBot began years ago, I've struggled to keep productization coherent where platform constraints meant that the feature sets could not align. This led to a single price point across platforms, regardless of capability. It was $100 everywhere, no matter which the features were supported.
This led to the app store versions feeling pricey, in comparison. A lose, lose situation for most involved, myself included. This is over in 2.14, I'm refactoring productization.
InterroBot is the base model, still available everywhere with classic crawling, search, and all the reports. On iOS and Android, the trial has been removed, and the pay-gate lifted.
InterroBot Plus is the new addon for Android Play and App Store. For $10 only, you get extra crawler options:
- edit request headers (auth, user-agent)
- omit directories and regex matches from the crawl index
- override rel nofollow and META norobots behavior
InterroBot Pro is the new flagship. It ships with everything, JavaScript rending, CLI, and all the options of InterroBot Plus. It is still cheap, $100 only for a cross-platform license valid on Windows, macOS, and Linux. Pick yourself up a copy while it lasts.
Under no circumstances will paying users lose any features they have paid for. Android Play and App Store users will continue to have the same features they had in 2.13. I have assembled a spreadsheet of store purchases and am offering any paid users from store a free upgrade path to pro.
To claim your upgrade, use the in-app contact form, select "Billing questions or concerns," and send your Google Play or App Store purchase ID. If it resolves to my list, I will generate a new Pro license for your email, totally free, no questions asked.
